Sam's has been around Chiswick for awhile now, but it has only recently reopened with a more restaurant-based feel. Instead of their larder stuff, with coffees and pastries, they now offer a sit down breakfast and lunch menu; and have taken away their pastry counter and sellable products. Honestly, the new menu is amazing, proving that their renovations and new concept, work. Although they have gotten rid of their pastries, frozen food aisle and other snacks, I don't miss it. There are many places around Chiswick to get a coffee and a pastry, that it doesn't need another one. The week it reopened, they offered 50% off on breakfast, and we went almost every day; which allowed me to try a significant portion of their menu. It was a little bit embarrassing going in so often, as the staff began to recognise us. On the plus side, I can with good authority state that I've not only tried most of their items, but that they are delicious. I also have many stamps on my coffee card now, and will soon be eligible for a free cappuccino.

The standout item on their breakfast menu for me, was the Crab English Muffin with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. I loved it- it was rich, and creamy. Although the portion seemed small, because of the dish, it was a good size; and I had had enough by the time I'd finished.
The Pancakes and the Full English (this one was absolutely massive- and could be split between two people easily) were also very good. The coffees and teas were also worth mentioning. Personally, I was not a fan of their granola, something about the flavours, but other people in my group liked it, so it just seems down to personal preference.

Also, if you would like a slightly cheaper option, they do a breakfast combination of eggs any style on toast with a coffee for £10.50, which is worth it.
And, if you were wondering... They are very dog-friendly. They have many dogs inside at all times, don't bat an eyelid at them, even when they are muddy or being disruptive, and offer up treats and attention, which Pilot is always happy to receive.
Here is a picture of Pilot, after he managed to tangle himself around the leg of our table....
